Things to do in the area

Livingstone has some fantastic things to do in the area, from relaxing boat cruises to jumping off bridges (attached to a giant elastic band!) there’s something for everyone. Elephant Ride

How about viewing the African Bush atop one of the big five? Spend a morning or an afternoon riding an African Elephant, and see the world from an Ele’s point of view! Guest will have a chance to learn about the fascinating species as well as enjoying interaction time after their ride.

 

 

White Water Rafting

The Zambezi River below the Victoria Falls has been claimed a Grade 5 river with extremely long, rough rapids, big drops and steep gradients. Grade 6 rapids are commercially un-raftable! This is undoubtedly the wildest one-day rafting experience in the world and should not be missed!

 

 

View the Falls

This is the largest single curtain of falling water on earth and from the Victoria Falls Zimbabwe side, you get to take in a breath taking 70% of it. If you are fortunate enough to visit during a full moon, doing the Lunar Rainbow tour of the Falls at night is a definite must!

 

 

 

Devils Pool

Do you dare swim at the top of the almighty Victoria Falls themselves? This activity only operates at certain times of the year when the water is low enough and is literally a pool of water in which guests can take a dip with the Vic Falls thundering behind them.

 

 

 

Livingstone Island

Meeting at the grand Royal Livingstone Hotel you’ll be picked up in small boat no less and transported to the incredible Livingstone Island, allegedly the place that David Livingstone first viewed the Falls. You can book a breakfast, a lunch or a high tea visit and enjoy a pleasant meal, refreshments all on the edge of the falls! Your visit to Livingstone Island can also include a visit to Devils Pool if you so wish!

 

 

Visit to Chobe National Park

You can visit this fantastic game park in Botswana after only an hour or so drive to the border. A day trip consists of a game drive and a game viewing boat cruise and a lunch is also included. There is also the option to stay overnight and experience Chobe for a couple of days.
